Each piece of this tumbled and polished tiger jasper is approximately 1/2" - 1 1/4" in size (we request that you allow for some slight size variation outside that range). Please select whether you would like a 1/2 LB lot or 1 LB lot.
Rock/Mineral Info:
Tiger jasper (also known as tigerskin jasper or wood jasper) is the trade name for a type of opaque chalcedony with tiger-like striped banding. These stripes can manifest in several different colors, including shades of brown, amber, beige, and yellow. Sometimes the stripes are more clearly defined and other times they are mottled.
Tiger jasper is often mistaken for tiger's eye, but it does not bear the chatoyancy (or "cat's eye" effect) that tiger's eye exhibits.
Metaphysical Properties:
Tiger Jasper is associated with healing, purification, grounding, and positive thoughts. It is connected primarily with the solar plexus and third eye chakras.
