Description:

Each piece of this tumbled and polished chocolate calcite is approximately 1/2" - 1 1/4" in size (we request that you allow for some slight size variation outside that range). Please select whether you would like a 1/2 LB lot or a 1 LB lot. 

Rock/Mineral Info:

Chocolate calcite is a carbonate mineral known for its unique chocolate-brown banding, which comes from iron oxide inclusions within the crystal lattice. Its lighter bands often fluoresce ghostly white under long-wave UV light. Chocolate calcite is usually found within sedimentary rocks and limestone formations.
