Tumbled Opal, Blue Andean

Each piece of this tumbled and polished blue Andean opal is approximately 1/2" - 1 1/4" in size (we request that you allow for some slight size variation outside that range). Please select whether you would like a 1/2 LB lot or 1 LB lot.

Opal is not technically a crystal, but a type of mineraloid that forms when silica-rich water accumulates and hardens within host rocks. Blue Andean opal is known for its lovely blue-gray coloration and tends to have dendrites (hornblende inclusions that bear a resemblance to ferns or other plants). 

Opal is associated with freedom, independence, self-esteem, and creativity. It is connected primarily to the base chakra.
