Zebra calcite is a carbonate mineral known for its beautiful banding, which manifests in high-contrast stripes that resemble the patterns of a zebra's coat. Many of the different calcite colors grow together in limestone deposits; upon being mined, they are sorted by color and brought to the wider crystal market. Calcites are relatively soft, scoring a 3 on the Mohs hardness scale, and as such can be scratched easily by harder substances.

Green calcite is associated with calming and positive energy, as well as protection from negative energy. It is great for opening and recharging all chakras.
