Sunstone is a type of feldspar known for its shimmering luster and beautiful play of colors. It is usually orange, red, brown, or yellow, although it can also be green or blue. It exhibits an iridescent effect called adularescence, which causes a "floating" light effect when the stone is moved. This happens because when light enters the stone, it reflects off microscopic inclusions within the stone's internal structure.
