Rock/Mineral Info:
Rainbow Moonstone is 6-6.5 on the mohs scale making it slightly softer than other tumbling rough. Since it is a feldspar material it is also prone to "bruising" in the later ends of the tumbling process. Great for someone with an intermediate to experienced level of tumbling experience.
White moonstone is a type of feldspar that exhibits a beautiful play of color that flashes when the stone is held at certain angles. This flash is called "adularescence," and it is produced when light enters the stone, reflects off twinning surfaces within the stone, and exits the stone again.
