Rough Moonstone, Peach - Size Small
Description:
Each piece of this rough peach moonstone is approximately 1/2" - 2" in size.
Country of Origin: Madagascar
Rock/Mineral Info:
Like all moonstones, peach moonstone is a type of feldspar. It is characterized by its gentle peach coloration and its adularescence, wherein the stone often flashes a lovely glowing or shimmering sheen when viewed from specific angles.
Moonstone forms when orthoclase and albite coalesce under extreme pressure and high temperatures, then separate into alternating layers as the stone gradually cools. The adularescence that so many moonstones exhibit occurs when light enters the stone and is scattered by these alternating layers.
Metaphysical Properties:
Peach moonstone is associated with positivity, safety, patience, intuition, soothing anxiety, and illuminating visions and dreams. It is also a protective stone for travelers and is connected to the sacral, third eye, and crown chakras. Moonstone in general is tied to the zodiac sign of Cancer.
