Mookaite is a type of jasper known for its striking patterns and its typical red, yellow, and purple colors (although it can also be brown, tan, and orange). It derives its name from its origin in Mooka Creek, Western Australia. Mookaite's unique appearance is thought to come from the gradual sedimentation and mineralization of ancient marine fossils and microorganisms over millions of years.

In Indigenous Australian cultures, mookaite jasper has long been cherished for its connection to the land and its grounding abilities. It is also associated with protection and strength in these traditions.
