Lepidolite is the most common lithium-bearing mineral found on Earth.  It is usually pale lilac, though it can also be violet, gray, colorless, or pale yellow. Its structure is micaceous, accounting for the lovely glittering effect it often displays. 

The name "lepidolite" comes from the Greek "lepidos," meaning "scale." This is believed to be in reference to the stone's micaceous structure.

Metaphysical Properties:

Lepidolite is known as the "grandmother stone" because of its deeply nurturing effect. It is associated with emotional healing, peace, and stress relief. Lepidolite is also connected to the crown chakra and the zodiac sign of Libra.
