Description:

Each piece of this rough labradorite is approximately 1/2" - 1 1/2" in size. Please note this is B-grade material and thus does not exhibit as much flash as other labradorite. Some stones may flash but many do not. Please also note that the product shown in the pictures is wet to display color.

Rock/Mineral Info:

Labradorite is a type of feldspar known for its play of color called "labradorescence." Labradorescence occurs when light enters the stone, hits a twinning surface within the stone, and reflects back out again. Named after the Labrador Peninsula in Canada, labradorite is described in some Inuit legends as being a piece of the aurora borealis that froze and fell to Earth.
