Rock/Mineral Info:

Since chrysocolla and turquoise can form under similar conditions, they are sometimes known to grow together. Both are known for their vivid teal or blue-green coloration and are secondary minerals of copper deposits. 

However, whereas chrysocolla is a copper-rich clay mineral, turquoise is a hydrous phosphate of copper and aluminum. If you want to tell the difference between them, turquoise often exhibits a more waxy luster compared to chrysocolla. Chrysocolla is also known to be more brittle than turquoise and frequently contains multiple fractures.
