Rhomboidal green calcite is a type of calcite that shows green coloration (which can range from light to vibrant) and also displays a natural rhomboidal shape. The green color is caused by trace inclusions of minerals like iron or manganese. Many of the different calcite colors grow together in limestone deposits; upon being mined, they are sorted by color and brought to the wider crystal market. Calcites are relatively soft, scoring a 3 on the Mohs hardness scale, and as such can be scratched easily by harder substances.

Rhomboidal green calcite is associated with balance, love, and protection from negative energy. It is connected primarily with the heart chakra.
