Rock/Mineral Info:
Orthoceras fossils are the common trade term for fossilized nautiloid cephalopods which were related to the orthoceras species. These creatures lived in Earth's oceans roughly 200-500 million years ago and were ancestors of the octopus and squid. They moved through the seas by squirting water and creating jet propulsion. As they grew larger, they continued to add more and more chambers to their shells. Today, their fossils are mainly found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
Metaphysical Properties:
Orthoceras fossils are associated with grounding, stability, and ancient energy. They resonate primarily with the root chakra.
