Amethyst is a variety of quartz known for its purple coloration, which is caused by iron or manganese inclusions in the crystal lattice. It forms when mineral-rich fluid flows through underground rock, depositing silica and other minerals along the way. These minerals bond and accumulate, forming the stone we call amethyst.
Metaphysical Properties:
Amethyst is known to be a catch-all healing and protection stone. It is associated primarily with the crown chakra.
