Green aventurine is composed of macrocrystalline quartz grains and fuchsite mica, the latter of which offers the stone its green coloration and famous sparkle. 

Green aventurine forms when molten material rich in silicon dioxide gradually cools and solidifies in the Earth's crust. During this process, the inclusions that define green aventurine enter the material to create the famous stone.

Green aventurine is associated with hope, strength, good luck, soothing energy, and clearing out negativity. It is connected primarily with the heart chakra.
